Light Up with Blossoms

Hi Everyone
It's my day to share some art made using the fabulous products from AALL & Create and this time I am using The large A4 stamp Blossomed Numbers #109 designed by Tracy Evans.

I know it's not a new technique but thought I would have a go at decorating a large church candle with the complete A4 stamp.

This is quite a simple technique but can be a lovely way of making a special gift.
First I stamped and repeat stamped Tracy's Blossomed numbers onto tissue paper (I have used Tim Holtz tissue paper on a roll).

On the reverse side of the stamped tissue paper I painted out selected parts that I wanted to be bright white in my finished project.
I then turned the tissue paper back over and started colouring in the tissue paper using Zig colour clean brush markers, these pens blended really well on Tim's tissue paper.

I just continued colouring it all in. The tissue paper was slightly longer than I needed so at this point I trimmed it down so there would be a minimal overlap once on the candle.
I did leave the coloured in tissue paper overnight to allow the Zig pens to dry before I decorated the candle.

I now had to add my tissue paper to my candle I lined up the tissue paper onto the candle and I held it in place with a few dressmaking pins in order to keep it level. Starting at one end of your tissue switch on your heat gun and gently melt the wax on the candle which grabs the decorated tissue paper and embeds it into the candle. Keep moving the gun around to evenly melt the candle wax and don't over melt it so the wax runs.

You can see how white the paint looks once embedded into the wax. I placed my candle onto a holder and added some black wire and bakers twine to the bottom along with the word Bloom from a part of the stamp.

I wanted to complete this gift by wrapping it which has been simply done using a piece of cellophane but I have added some finishing touching by stamping one of the Bloom stamps onto shrink plastic 3 times and colouring with copic pens prior to heat shrinking and also some flat backed clear gems that have the stamped detail behind them.

Who left the tap on? for AALL & Create

Hi everyone
It's my day, as a guest designer, to share some more art using products from the latest release from AALL & Create.  For todays post I have combined stamps from 2 different AALL & Create stamp designers to create my card.

I have used #116 'Industrial scripts' border stamp by Bipasha BK to create my scene for the adorable #135 'Quack the Ducks' designed by Olga Heldwein.

Background was created using Distress Oxides and then I stamped the industrial stamp onto the background and added some shading using Prismacolour pencils. When I saw the tap on the end of the design I just had to put someone underneath it, and who better?

All the ducks were stamped and coloured onto a separate piece of card, coloured again with Prismacolour pencils and cut out.
The splash from the water hitting the umbrella is from one of the other duck stamps on the sheet. The water has been added using distress oxide ink and a paint brush and then covered in glossy accents.  The running water from the tap has created quite a crowd!!
I die cut the speech bubble from a leftover piece of my background and added the text, also found on the ducks stamps set.
It was then added to a kraft card DL card blank.

You are a Star!

Hi Everyone
I'm here with you today sharing my latest make for AALL & Create and this time I have created a photo holder cube.

I have created my holder using and ATB (a 2.5" cube die from Sizzix)
Lots of Photo's on this post to share all the sides with you.

To decorate my cube I have used the 'In the Cinema" background stamp #139 designed by Olga Heldwein and my movie stars are the Angels designed by Louise Nelson #130 & #132.
Everything has been given an aged look using distress inks, lots of vintage photo in there and coloured with pencils also in brown shades to continue the aged look.
I have used several film strip and slide mount design dies from both Sizzix and Tonic and the star dies are Sizzix.
The little film rolls feet are little cotton reels that I have painted black and covered with a strip cut from in 'In the Cinema' stamp.
The Gold stars are stamped and heat embossed in black onto Tim Holtz gold card. It was then just a case of putting it all together.

Game On

Hi Everyone
It's my day to share some art using the fabulous AALL & Create products and for this weeks make I have used just one stamp, #115 Chess Art, designed by the talented stamp designer Bipasha BK.

The border stamp range from AALL & Create are perfect for creating a DL card which I have done here.

For this weeks make I have let the stamp do the talking as the detail that Bipasha includes in her designs is stunning and speaks for itself.

The background was created using yellow and a touch of grey Brusho powder, enhanced with a little
Hickory Smoke distress ink.
I then stamped over the brusho and then again onto white card

I then die cut the words "Game On" from the plain white card stamped piece and coloured with distress inks Hickory smoke and scattered straw and then lined up the letters so the stamped design totally lined up, for dimension I added the letters with silicone 3D gel.
TO add a little more interest I added machine stitching and torn pieces of washi tape and finished off with a Tim Holtz Chit Chat sticker. I added it all to a black DL card.

A Trio of Arty Angels for AALL & Create

Hi Everyone
I'm back with you today as a guest designer for AALL & Create to share some arty tags using some of their fabulous stamps and stencils.

This time I have created a trio of tags using all 3 of the angel stamps designed by Louise Nelson from the latest release of stamps and touches of texture using 2 stencils designed by Autour de Mwa from the previous release.

These were fun tags to make and each one is made in the same way but features it's own angels.

The background for my tags started with a masterboard of brayered paints and then die cut it to make my tags.

Once cut I addded touches of more paint with my fingers. I added a little touch of stencilling through a couple of stencils with texture paste. Each one also has some machine stitching on to add even more texture and interest. All were then edged with black paint again applied roughly using my fingers and some torn washi tapes.
All the angels were stamped out along with some of the other little stamps that accompany each stamp set, the birds, the hearts etc. Other than adding a little colour to each of their faces I have used torn washi tapes to add colour to their dresses.
To make your own Angel tags you will need the following AALL & Create products
