Find Beauty in the Ordinary for AALL & Create

Hi Everyone
I hope this morning finds you well. I'm sharing with you today another make as guest designer for AALL & Create.

This card uses my favourite technique at the moment, that being creating your background and the stencilling clear gloss gel through the stencil and then blocking out the background.
My background was created by randomly applying a selection of colours of distress ink blended onto card using a mini blending tool.

Then take your stencil which for this I have used #39 'Lotza Dots designed by Autour de Mwa, I hold mine in place with a bit of masking tape, and apply the gloss gel through the stencil. I then leave it 24hrs to totally dry out.

Once dry, I love this next stage, apply black distress ink again using your blending tool all over your piece the gloss gel resists the distress ink and leaves you your bold design. Once the ink is dry just buff up the gloss gel with a soft cloth to remove any distress ink from the gloss gel.

I then chose to cut part of the stamp #113 'Eclectic Silhouette' by Tracy Evans and chose to use the female silhouette as I wanted 5 of them I inked up the selected area and stamped 5 times and cut out.

I then coloured them using Copic markers shading them using the cool greys from light to dark across all 5 silhouettes.

I added a coloured heart to each one using the same distress ink colours and then punching them out. I have also added a little colour to the leg using the same colours but in distress markers. To match the gloss and texture of the background I then covered the heats and the dots with glossy accents. The sentiment I have added also comes from Tracy's stamp set and I cut it out from the bigger stamp.

Be Lucky for AALL & Create

Hi Everyone
I am delighted to have been invited to again be a guest designer for AALL & Create this gives me another opportunity to design with the fabulous range of stamps that they produce. For the next few months I will be sharing my art using stamps from their latest release which I have to say is another collection of stunningly designed stamps from the very talented AALL & Create design team.

For my first make as GDT I have been playing with the large A4 stamp 'Checkered Queen' designed by Bipasha BK, how stunning is all the lovely detail on this stamp.
Stamped onto a gelli print and then detail added in using coloured pencils I have cut into panels and added to a That's Crafty MDF Chunkie which is 9" x 4.5" I love the depth of these as you can see that you can bring your design round to the sides.
I stamped some of the elements of the stamp separately onto some gelli print, the dice and the lucky 7's which I have added glossy accents to, and then added them to the piece. I even visited a couple of charity shops to find a chess set as I wanted to add some chess pieces to the top of the piece, thankfully I found one and I added a touch of pink to the pieces to tone in with the piece.

and the fabulous A4 stamp itself

Zombie Love

Hi Everyone
I've been having a little play today and things have just stared to get a bit spooky here

I have been playing with a couple of Tim Holtz New Halloween stamp sets namely Tangled Webs and Zombie's. I have created my webs by stamping with the alcohol lift pad over an alcohol ink background on Yupo.

The effect that the alcohol link gives is so delicate that it looks really realistic.
I stamped the Zombie hand from the Zombie set and placed a heart I made in his hand.

I added a bit of fake mist from my box of Halloween bits, when I eventually found it, to the bottom of the card so the hand was reaching up out of the mist. Zombie sentiment is from the Zombie set and the Happy Halloween is from last years monstrous set.

Work It!

Hi Everyone
I hope you are all having a good weekend, I have made the most of the fact that it's been torrential rain all day here by hiding away in my craftroom and I have made such a mess! I've currently walked away from the devastation but I will need to return shortly and tidy up as I can't leave it like that as it messes with my senses. I can't share with you yet what I have been making but will very soon!!!!
I'm sharing with you today a birthday card I made a couple of weeks ago for my sister, keeping it very clean & Simple on this one. She has recently trained to be a personal trainer and this was the only image I had that fit that theme.

The main image is from Art Impressions - 'Yoga Yolanda'stamped and coloured with Prisma colour pencils, the 'Work it' stamp is also Art Impressions.
I die cut the Happy Birthday and placed an ombre effect card behind that I had created using Paperartsy paints and a brayer, mounted on to a co-ordinated coloured piece of card before added to the card blank.
Hope you all have a fabulous Weekend and thanks for stopping by
