Home Alone

Hi
Friday evening, the gateway to the weekend  (unfortunately I am working this weekend) and I find myself "home alone". I have taken the opportunity to get down and dirty with my Gelli plate, really the first time I have had a good play. I have been reading how addictive everyone has been saying that it is, and they are right. If I didnt have to get up at 5.30am tomorrow I would be still playing. The only bit I don't like is the cleaning up........ it's not the sort of thing that you can leave for another day or else I don't think I could have faced my craft room again, lol. The biggest task was cleaning my stencils, I think I might have to resort to leaving them covered in paint as I notice a lot of people don't clean them. Anyway here are my first attempts, some I like more than others, and sometimes I think less is more, but I did keep telling myself just one more colour. I would be interested to know what you think as I really appreciate your comments.

I have just to know decide what to do with them. It might even kick start me in to starting my art journal properly, I have had my Dyan Reaveley Creative Journal for a couple of months now but been a bit nervous about starting it. I think it is like when you get a new exercise book at school and always want the first page to be fantastic. Stay tuned to find out what I use them for.

thanks for visiting and have a lovely weekend
love Amanda :) X

  1. Well, I think they're absolutely glorious, Amanda! Can't wait to see what you decide to do with them, but you're right - they do look like perfect art journal material...

  2. I've heard of these Gelli things but have enough trouble with keeping up with what I have got already!! I love the fabulous patterns you've made and would love to see what you do with them. I could see some glamorous tags with embellies on them. Home alone .... I love evenings like that!! Means I can be crafty without the guilt. keeleyxx

  4. I love them all Amanda! Get them in that Dyan journal for sure, don't be scared, these are awesome pages and I'd be jolly proud to get them in my journal. What a wonderful playtime you had. Yeh you're right the clean up is boring and the stencils are a pain to clean, but look at your result. Just brilliant. Michelle x
