I Just Had to ................

Hi Again
2nd post of the day for me, which wasn't planned, but I just got home from a couple of day working away and Tim's Crazy Dogs were sitting there just waiting to be opened and inked up. So I just had to.

Whilst I love the birds and the cats, being a dog person I think that these are my favourites by far and this guy just has an abundance of adorable attitude!!
Coloured with Prisma colour pencils and all other stamps are from Wplus9 - So 80's set.

Birds of a Feather for That's Crafty Challenge Blog

Hi everyone
Our new challenge fortnight launched this morning at 8am and I'm a little late with my post due to having been working away and unable to schedule my post due to no internet. So better late than never.
Our theme over at That's Crafty Challenges for this coming fortnight is

BIRDS OF A FEATHER.

I have taken quite a quirky approach on this one using the Lost Coast stamp - 'Cracked Old Crow' which is how I am feeling at the moment having spent 2 nights in a hotel having had very little sleep. There is nothing quite like your own bed is there?
Anyway I have stamped the crow onto a gelli printed background and coloured with pencils.  I have actually scanned in the original gelli print and printed it out which allows me to not only keep prints that I have made that I like but it also gives me a lovely smooth surface to stamp and colour onto.
I have stamped some further detail onto the background onto it to add a bit more interest. I then stamped on my sentiment and finished off with some torn washi tape.
Hopefully you will join in with us on this challenge and by doing so you could be the lucky winner of a £20 voucher to spend online at That's Crafty, you'll find all the details HERE.

Repetition at LIM Challenge Blog

Hi Everyone
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend. I have a quick card to share with you this morning as I am joining in with this weeks challenge over at Less Is More challenge blog, it's been ages since I have played along at this one.

The theme this week is 'Repetition'

The thought of my design came to me whilst I was looking through my stamps for something else and rediscovered this 'Boots' stamp from the Deep Red Rubber Company. Sentiment is from Tim Holtz. Simply stamped 3 times in black and lightly coloured with different coloured pencils.

Have a fab Sunday

Make A Wish

Hi Everyone
I have managed a little crafty play that isn't as DT work, a first for a long time. I have just treated myself to some of the new stamps designed by Trish Latimer and available from her Etsy shop HERE and couldn't resist having a little play. I had a birthday card to make for another of my nieces who turned 12 yesterday and used one of the new stamps to make a birthday card. I chose to use Wordgirl 4.

Background started as a gelli print miss print and then I inked up a star stencil with matching colours of distress ink, spritzed lightly with water and then used as a stamp over the gelli print. I coloured the centre star with coloured pencils and once I had added some random stamping machine stitched around the heart and then around the background.

The wordgirl has then been coloured with water colours and pencils, cut out and added to the background. I've used some alphabet stickers to add the Happy Birthday sentiment.
She loved the card or maybe it was the money that I had put inside!
Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate it

Feminine at That's Crafty Challenge Blog

Hi Everyone
Hope things are good for you.
It's that time, a new challenge fortnight is starting over at That's Crafty Challenge Blog and our theme is
FEMININE.
You are free to interpret the theme how ever you want and create anything you want as long as it follows our theme.

I have a little piece of inspiration for you

I have a card for you made using mop up pieces. My main image is from the Everything is Art stamp set EEA01 from Paperartsy. I love this image which has become one of my favourite of the year so far. I have teamed her up with some Tim Holtz stamps from both his Ledger Script & Creative Muse stamp sets. I have built the card up on several layers using 3D gel to give the card dimension. Sentiment is from one of Tim's Chit Chat sticker books.

If you need further inspiration the design team have created some wonderful pieces which you can check out HERE.

Want to win £20 to spend at That's Crafty online store? You could be the randomly chosen winner and it's really easy just enter your feminine piece HERE and it could be you!!

Hopefully I'll see you playing along
