Round and Round at That's Crafty Challenges

Hi Everyone
It's time for a new fortnightly challenge over at That's Crafty Challenge blog and our theme for the next 2 weeks is
"Round & Round" (use circles on your project)

I love using circles and for my piece, as a little bit of inspiration for you, I have used many of the various circular dies designed by Seth Apter for Spellbinders.
My piece started with a That's Crafty MDF panel (4.5" x 9")
I brayered several colours of Paperartsy Fresco finish paints onto book pages, my book pages are from an old railway timetable so are mostly numbers which I love. I then ripped up the paper and covered the MDF with the pieces. I then added some texture stampings over the top using one of Andy Skinners Industrial backgrounds. I then built up my die cuts. I stamped Seths create word stamp and punched out the letters of the word create using a circle punch. I then glued many watch parts to the centres of a couple of the circles and added a rusty washy with an old watch face on top. Tim's Chit Chat stickers finish it off.

A couple of close ups show the details that I have added to the two main circles.
There is a variety of inspiration for you by my talented team mates Here
So we'd love for you to come along and play along with us this fortnight and your entry could be the randomly chosen entry that wins a £20 voucher to spend on line at That's Crafty.
What are you waiting for? come and play along with us HERE
I would like to enter this into the current challenge over at A Vintage Journey where the current theme is 'Going round in circles'
Thanks for stopping by and I will see you soon

An Afternoons play

Hi Everyone

I have spent a lovely afternoon just playing in my craftroom and decided to have a play with using my not used very often Zig pens. I have stamped this fabulous feather, Paperartsy Eclcctica ETS05 by Tracy Scott, by stamping with different colours of Zig pens. This is made easy using my Misti as I can add a colour and stamp and then add another colour and stamp. The fact that the image is constantly lined up allows you to repeatedly stamp the same stamp till you are happy with the image.
Then using a water brush I pulled some of the colour out of the stamped lines to colour it in.
I have further enhanced the colouring with Prismacolour pencils. I then outlined the feather again using coloured pencils.

A little bit of white pen work and some bling and a Sheena Douglass sentiment and card done.

I would also like to enter this into the current Pink & Orange challenge over on Paperartsy Blog

Hope you've had a lovely day and thanks for calling in

Gold & Silver at That's Crafty Challenge Blog

Hi Everyone
It's time to start another challenge year over at That's Crafty Challenges and for our first challenge of 2017 we are making an opulent start as our theme for the next fortnight is
GOLD & SILVER
you must use both on your chosen project.
Here's my take on theme

Using a That's Crafty 8"x8" MDF panel I covered it with pieces of batik fabric which I glued using matt medium. I then stencilled through several That's Crafty Dinky stencils using Dina Wakley gold and silver acrylic paints.
I then stamped the elephant. This is a 2 part stamp from Stampendous and includes a foam and a rubber stamp. I first stamped the solid foam stamp of the elephant using funky fushia Dylusions paint and then over the top stamped the detailed rubber stamp using versamark and heat embossed using gold embossing powder.
I then did a little more stamping an embossing in pink using some asian style stamps from my stash.
My sentiment is one of Tim Holtz Chit Chat sayings.
Finally I added some gold trim, some beads and adhesive stones.

Why not start the year with the chance of winning a £20 online voucher to spend at That's Crafty. All you need to do is join in with us this fortnight, follow the theme, and then you could be our randomly drawn winner,
You will find all the details HERE and also all the fabulous makes from my team mates giving you loads of inspiration.
Thanks for stopping by
