Snow in August for That's Crafty

Only Cards at That's Crafty Challenge Blog

Hi Everyone

It's a busy That's Crafty day today, we have the start of our new Challenge fortnight  HERE with the theme

'Only Cards' 

and That's Crafty are appearing on Hochanda today with the launch of some fabulous new Autumn and Christmas MDF, Greyboard, Stamps, stencils & paints there are loads of new fabulous stuff. If you can't get to watch the Shows on Hochanda SKY channel 663 or Freeview 85 today you can watch them online as part of their catch up TV or you can find them on the That's Crafty website in the 'What's New' section. 

Anyway, back to our 'Only Cards' challenge

My card uses a Lost Coast Design stamp as my central image. My background is from a paint scraped masterboard I made. Onto a seperate piece of the same masterboard  I stamped her using the Stamping platform to allow me to paint out the flesh parts with Paperartsy blush paint and then stamp the detail back in, I then  cut her out.  I then added stencilling to the back first with the circles in black archival ink and then with white acrylic for the leaves which is a Dylusions stencil. I then out lined the white with a black fine liner pen. Sentiment is from one of Dylusions fabulous quote stamps, stamped onto white card and cut out to add to the card.

Bad Idea's

Hi Everyone

Hope you are having a lovely weekend so far. I keep walking in and out of my craft room,  in between doing other things, hoping that I will get smacked in the face with Mr Mojo, no such luck so far. I have forced myself a little play, and it is a little play, this has to be the fastest and simplest card that I have ever made but I just wanted to play with the new die fromTim Holtz, 'claw marks'. 

All stamps are Katzelkraft stamps.

They don't get much more clean and simple than this!!

Rock On Girlfriend

Hi Everyone

Hope you are all well, I have been having another play with the latest Badass monthly subscription stamps, you will find the details in my previous post Here if you are interested in signing up.

I have been forced to redecorate a wall in my lounge as I have had a new fire fitted this week, so inbetween coats of paint drying I have been away in my craftroom.

Background was a gelli print that I die cut the swirls out of (Sheena mixed media die) and then behind the cut outs I added some stamped card (the die cut pieces saved for anther project).

I then stamped round the edges a little with one of the Badass stamps and stamped the rock chick 3 times onto card and cut her out. A little colouring with Copics. Stamped words are from a couple of stamp sets from my stash. 

Hope you like it and I now have to go and clean up the lounge.

Rock Chick

Hi Everyone

I have just received my first set of stamps having just joined the Badass Stamp club by ArtChicks Studio who are based in the Netherlands, you will find all the details Here if you fancy signing up. You sign up to receive a set of club member stamps and having received this first set I am not disappointed and I love the fact that you don't know what you are going to get. 

Here is a card I have made with this months set 

My background is a series of strips of paper that I used to clean my brayer on. Once I laid out the strips I then added stencilling to them. I then stamped the girl, coloured her with copics and cut her out. The little skulls were stamped on and the Rock Chick sentiment heat embossed and edged in white Posca pen. All those stamps were on this months members set. The Do Epic Shit was from July's Badass set that I got from Facebook and also the reason I signed up for more.

Dream Big

Hi Everyone

I hope that you've all had a lovely weekend, it's absolutely pelting down with rain here in the north west of England, definitely a staying in day! 

I have a card to share today but I am not sure I am happy with it but thought I would share it non the less.

As is with a lot of my makes at the moment I have used a gelli background and stamped the Stampendous elephant using my stamping platform, painted it out and then stamped over the top again to put all the detail back in.

Background has then been stencilled using several stencils from my stash and some I had forgotten I had!! Dream Big has been stamped using Tim's foam alpha stamps. I then went round the letters and the elephant with a black fine liner pen, I think around the letters it was a stage too far.

Anything but a card for That's Crafty Challenge Blog

Hi everyone

I'm here today as it's the start of a new challenge fortnight over at That's Crafty Challenge Blog and our theme for the next 2 weeks is

"Anything but a Card"

For my 'Anything but a card' piece I have used one of the That's Crafty MDF shrines, this one is ATC box sized. 

To decorate the front I used a piece of kraft card that I gelli printed onto, I added detail to the print by using one of Carabelle studio Printing stamps this one was Ronds. The inside I painted using the same colours into an ombre effect. Before I cut the print and added it to the front of the shrine I added some stitched detail with a sewing machine. 

One I had glued it to the front I trimmed it to fit and then added torn tissue paper, paint splashes and paint rings, lastly I added one of Alison Bomber Paperartsy words stamps.

The flowers are some of the new greyboard bit and pieces these are from the small funky flowers set. 

Painted with red acrylic paint I then laid tissue paper behind and filled the gaps with glossy accents and trimmed the tissue when dry. I then made stems for them using rusty wire and drilled holes in the base to feed the wires though.

Stamping detail inside the box are all using That's Crafty stamps.

Front piece added to the box is a Carabelle studio stamp.
