An unfinished page

Hi Everyone
Happy Sunday to you all, hope you are having a good one.
I'm feeling a little under the weather today and I'm hoping this flu bug doing the rounds hasn't set its sights on me, especially as I am having a week off work this coming week.  Rather than feeling sorry for myself I dragged myself into my craftroom for a little play, that always helps doesn't it?
Rather than start something new, ideas's weren't very forthcoming, I returned to finish an art journal page that has laid unfinished for months.

Working in my small Dylusions journal I had the background already done which was just paint cleaned off my brayer.  I built up the background with different stencils and the Frida image is a Lost Coast stamp stamped onto a scrap of gelli print.

After I cut out and stuck on the Frida image I highlighted her with stencilled dots and then I went around the image adding tiny pieces of torn Dina Wakley washi tape.

I stamped and cut out the fish from one of my subscriber stamp sets of Badass Stamps to put a little more context to the Frida quote I chose to use.

Then typed the quote out on my old typewriter.

Thanks for stopping by
Love

  1. This is the second time i've seen that fab Frida stamp used this week, I love it. A real treat added to your fabulous journal page, I love how you build up colours Amanda. Hope you enjoy your week off and fingers crossed you are not coming down with the flu as it's a real stinker!!

  3. So glad you made yourself go crafting - this page is amazing. So full of depth and power - and fabulous colour contrasts. Great quote too.
