I would like to share with you today my last post as part of the AALL & Create design team, it's been such a pleasure to have been a guest designer for them for the last 2 months made all the easier because the range of stamps and stencils they produce are so fabulous and eclectic. I am ending my 2 months by using the fabulously different quirky stamps designed for AALL and Create by Louise Nelson using her stamps #69, #77 & #78.
I have created 2 clean and simple designs on DL cards. I wanted these stamps on a clean white background to show off the drawn lines in all their glory.
Both have created in the same way but using a change of background stamping and a different bird added to each one, each showing a different words from the same set.
I have added a little bit of striped doodling to the background stamp and paper pieced into each background having stamped onto gesso book page paper that I had coloured with distress crayons. I have, to each card, added the bird and clouds using 3D gel to lift the images off the background. The rest of colouring has been done using prismacolor pencils.
Both have been matted onto black card before adding to the card base.
Aren't these birds so fabulously quirky?
