Hi Everyone
It's my Dads birthday this Friday and what better excuse do I need to ink up 'The Professor' stamp from Tim Holtz, it's been hanging around for a while now unopened until today!
All Tim Holtz products on this one.
I started with covering a piece of white card with the collage paper Typography adhering it to the paper with vintage collage medium. Onto that I then swooshed it through vintage photo and cracked pistachio distress sprays. To build up the layers I stamped the cogs from the 'Inventor' stamp set in vintage photo distress archival ink. I stamped the circle behind him with pistachio distress oxide and then heat embossed with clear matt embossing powder. The numbers stamped down the left hand side again using vintage photo distress archival ink are from the Mail Art stamp set. I then machine stitched all around the card.
I then set about stamping and cutting out all the elements to add from The Professor set.
I also had my first cut with the Alphanumeric Label dies, now they are fiddly blighters, but well worth the effort I just wish I had got my L's straight and that's with the sticky sheets!!
Happy Birthday is from the Hashtag set but I cut off the # my Dad wouldn't get that.
A couple of Idea-ology pieces, arrow and stars finish it off.
I've given him rosy cheeks to add a bit of fun to him, I actually think though that he's been on the Birthday sherry!
Thanks for stopping by I appreciate your visit

Fabulous TH-based card - the Professor looks very stern, and then there's that crazy hat to give the lie to his expression! I'm sure your Dad loved his card.
