Elegant for AALL & Create

Hi Everyone
I'm sharing with you today my latest make as a guest design team member for AALL & Create. I have a DL card for you this week.

I have used 1 stamp and 1 stencil, stamp #163 Elegant Peacock designed by Tracy Evans and stencil
#67 Brocken Circles designed by Autour de Mwa.

I started by creating my background with Distress Oxides

Picking the ink up from my glass media mat and then adding the detail of the stencil by using it as a stamp, adding the oxides to the stencil, misting it with water then laying it down over my background.

I then lightly stamped the image whilst it was in a stamping platform and leaving it in the platform painted in the 2 clock faces that are within the stamp.

Once the paint was dry I then stamped the image again much bolder this time using a Versafine Clair black ink pad.

I coloured the peacock using Zig real colour pens and added touches of foiling to add a little bling to him. Unfortunately I cannot seem to capture the foiling on a photograph which is a shame as it is quite prominent when you see it for real.

I then trimmed down the stamped area and matted it onto a piece of Tim Holtz foil card in a co-ordinating colour I then used the remaining background as another layer on the card. I stamped the word Elegant onto white card choosing just this section of the stamp to ink up and cut out to add to the card.

  2. This is gorgeous Amanda, such a beautiful stamp (sadly still un-inked in my case) I bet the foiling looks amazing and will be perfect for this image. Sorry I've not been around at all lately, but real life is a little full on at the moment. Take care, Sue x
