Just Want to Have Fun for AALL & Create

Hi Everyone
Today I'm sharing my latest guest designer make for AALL & Create, and for this week the theme is Cards. I have chosen to go a bit more of a cute route than I normally would as I love these little mice designed by Olga Heldwein. I have allowed them to play somewhere new combining them with with Tracy Evans Time Flies stamp.

and here's how I made it

I started with my background, but as I wanted to cut the hands of the clock out I had to mask the centre of the clock out prior to stamping it along with the words Time Flies in the stamp. This was easily done with some post its and a bit of tape. I then just inked up the clock face and stamped this part again for the clock hands.

I trimmed the background stamp to the size I wanted  then stamped the Mice stamp and cut those out before i continued.

The next stage was to colour the background but I wanted the clock face to remain uncoloured along with some of the circles in the stamp design so I stamped the image again onto some masking film and cut out the sections to be masked and then stuck the over the previously stamped image to mask it off. This is a plastic film so allows you to use water over it.

I sprinkled over Lindy's Stamp Gang powders over and spritzed with water to blend the colours, dried and removed the masking film, I did get a little colour seepage underneath which actually softened the ages a little.

I then coloured the mice using Zig clean colour pens

and then created a new little scene for them to play in to create my card

I added the sentiment from stamp set #8 and mounted onto black card before adding to my cardblank.
