Be Awesome Mini Journal for AALL & Create

Hi Everyone
For this weeks guest designer post for AALL & Create I have a mini art journal made using Eileen Hulls notebook die and several fabulous AALL & Create stamp sets.

To start I cut the notebook die from mountboard and began creating my background with a selection of Dylusions paints and a brayer both onto the notebook and a piece of card.

to tone down the colours I lightly brayered over with some white paint.

I then started adding some stamping using stamp sets #211 count on you and #212 Bright side both designed by Aida Domisiewicz.

Then using Part of #210 Background Mash Up designed by Tracy evans, I added lots of stamping using white paint which adds subtle detail and texture all over the background.

I then added further texture by using stencil #21 degined by Autour de Mwa and used heavy gesso for some dimension.
I also made a little of my own washi tape by stamping onto plain tape and tearing up to add to the cover randomly in places.
I then randomly applied black paint around the edges and over some of the stencilled cirlces.

The central flower was stamped onto plain card along with the sentiment, I cut out the flower but tore around the sentiment.
I added some cotton to surround the flower before adding the cut out image to the front, I then stamped the flower onto some of the coloured card and tore out a centre and then added a button.

The inside was covered using the separate piece of card that I had coloured and I added some black card signature inserts.

  1. Love how you gave the colours a pastel twist with the wash of white - amazing multi-layered stamping for a really cool look.
