Hi Everyone
I've had to step away from my crafting the last few weeks due to life just getting in the way but I'm pleased to be back today especially as
AALL & Create have released their 2nd stamp collection of 2019 and it's another stunning collection so be sure to check out the entire new releases. For this weeks guest designer post I have used a selection of the newly released stamps to create
this weeks piece which is an art journal 8" x 8" page.
To create my page I have used #220 Rock & Roll designed by Kaitlin Paltridge (main image) and #210 Background Mash Up by Tracy Evans, #211 Count on you by Aida Domisiewicz and #125 For the Record also by Aida.
Stencils used #26 designed by Carol & Co and #9,#27, & #19 all designed by Autour de Mwa.
To make my page I started with a page in my art journal that I had previously used to clean paint off my brayer on to.
to brighten up the page I added some watercolours over the paint and used a stencil as a stamp by smearing picked raspberry distress oxide all over it and slightly misting it with water before just stamping it down on my page.
Next was to added the life stencilling so I spread some paint onto my page laid the stencil in the paint and removed the paint through the stencil with a damp cloth. I then edged the words with a white gel pen. I then added more stencilling using 4 different stencils, onto my page I then added some stamping using some of the stamps from #211 and black versafine and peacock feathers DO.
I then stamped the girl onto some stamping card, I actually drew in the top of her head, cut out the image and coloured her with my Prismacolour pencils.
To ground her onto the page I stamped part of #210 onto a scrap of distress oxide background and cut out the run of scribbly circles and added then under the image and a couple of the scribbly rounds at the top of my page.
For some contrast I just stamped some of the circles from #125 in black and cut them out and stuck them to my page.
My sentiment "Life is about Attitude" uses the stencilled Life words and my old dymo gun along with Die cutting out the word attitude in black card. A little bit of torn washi tape finishes off my page.
I had great fun creating this page and it was a great way to get me back into my crafty flow.
